Gregory M. Ercolino is a technologist, engineer, designer, systems integrator, project director, and musician. He has worked with multimedia and digital audio and video systems for more than 25 years. Ercolino Productions is noted for its ability to integrate diverse systems and designs and complete logistically challenging projects on schedule and on budget.
Born and raised in New York, Greg began his career as a technical consultant and project director when he founded his first professional band at the age of 13. Using his passion for music as a stepping stone, Greg quickly learned how to facilitate the technical and project management elements of live productions.
From the urban jungles of New York City to the big skies of Montana, and finally to the Pacific Northwest and California, Greg gained experience working as a professional musician, audio/video technician, industrial video producer, live event coordinator, and technical director. Before he founded Ercolino Productions in 1992, Greg worked as a video producer and director for clients including Norton Buffalo, Michael Hedges, DigiDesign, and Bobbi McFerrin. He was a video producer for Viacom cable, and worked as a technical director and production manager at San Francisco’s Warfield Theater and for Bill Graham Presents. His clients included Michael Hedges, KRON-TV, Chris Issak, Santana, the Neville Bros. Greg Allman, Janet Jackson, and MTV.
In 1992, when Ercolino Productions and Sony created the media and technology systems at the Winter Olympics in Alberville, France, Greg pulled together a diverse and talented group of hardware and software developers, project managers, and systems engineers, many of whom he continues to work with today. His most recent projects include the Discovery Channel Retail Store in San Francisco’s high-tech Sony Metreon, as well as the city’s flagship Original Levi’s Store. His next project will be a high-tech multimedia space at San Francisco’s California Academy of Sciences.
